Why do we rub our eyes when we are sleepy?
rubbing the eyes relaxes the orbitalis orbitcularis muscle.eventually making it heavy and easier to trip up asleep
We are probably trying to rub the sleepiness or feeling of anyone sleepy out of our eyes. Our eyes are trying to close and we are trying to keep them plain.
